Ben @basicallypuyol is a player analyst at EASportsFIFA and works with Pompey, so he ought to know a thing or team about selecting a team

David James

Jamo makes the cut because he's the best keeper I've ever seen, and England's number one.

Joel Ward

Ward was a decent player despite his inexperience in a poor team, and since then has bossed players such as Martial, Hazard and Sane in the Prem!

Linvoy Primus

Linvoy’s inclusion shouldn't need explaining, thee man is a Pompey legend, pure and simple!

Johnny Ertl

What a genuinely nice man, Ertl was model pro, and really cared about the club. That strike vs Wycombe wasn't bad either!

Enda Stevens

The Irishman was a standout performer in our title winning squad, and has just earned a callup internationally, a testament to his ability and attitude.

Jed Wallace

Jed was another good player in a below average team, and scored some cracking goals too!

Niko Kranjcar

Nico was absolutely world class for Pompey, had some incredible technique, so I'll forgive him for his strike vs England for Croatia, and put him in the squad.

Michael Doyle

Doyle for me is the personification of the midfield general, and I loved his passion, attitude, and his tackling style, so into the centre of midfield he goes.

Matt Richie

He never really had a chance at Pompey, but given his affection for the club, and how good he's been for Newcastle, he's a strong addition to my squad.

Brett Pitman

The man needs no introduction, the captain and top scorer this season, he's well on the way to writing his name in Pompey folklore!

Last but definitely not least. My absolute favourite Pompey player growing up, and my namesake, you'll never find a more complete striker than the man from Zimbabwe!
